West Street Baptist Church is an Evangelical Church which was founded in 1836. Today it is a lively and active community of committed Christians, affiliated to the Dunstable Fellowship of Evangelical Churches and the wider Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches, holding to the Reformed Faith, practising baptism of believers by immersion, and seeking to serve God and mankind in this modern world.

This Church believes that God is actively at work today, saving men and women from sin and building His Church by the power of the Holy Spirit. There are a wide range of activities, many of which are mentioned on these web pages.

The church membership is divided into smaller groups. These consist of geographically based "House Groups" and functionally orientated "Ministry Teams". These Ministry Teams provide practical support within the Church or engage in outreach to the neighbourhood in various ways.
